In the case of Ng Siok Poh (administratrix of the estate of Lim Lian Chiat, deceased) and another v Sim Lian-Koru Bena JV Pte Ltd[2018] 4 SLR 731, UniLegal LLC acted for its clients in suing the Defendant who had carried out construction works and had caused the Plaintiffs’ bungalow property to tilt and sustained damage.

The Plaintiffs sued the Defendant in tort (i.e. negligence and/or nuisance) for causing damage to the Property, and successfully obtained interlocutory judgment on 100% basis with damages to be assessed. The matter then proceeded to be heard on the appropriate measure of damages to be recovered and ultimately, the clients obtained recovery of the damages suffered by them.
